Andrew Kaufman
President
Mr. Kaufman currently serves as President of Landbridge Group and acts as Managing Member of two of Landbridge’s operating partnerships; Landbridge Materials, LLC and Suffolk and Southern Railroad, LLC. Landbridge Materials managed the day to day operations of Empire Asphalt, LLC until its sale in 2014. Suffolk and Southern, the managing member of Sills Road Realty, LLC the owner of Brookhaven Rail Terminal, developed the only multimodal freight terminal on Long Island serving more than 70 shippers from around the country with transloading and warehousing services including food grade, petrochemical, lumber, cement, structural steel, rebar steel, biosolids, road salt, roofing materials, and aggregates.
Prior to joining Landbridge, Mr. Kaufman founded E-Rail Logistics, a C & D transload facility in North Bergen, N.J. Prior to that he was president of Hagerstown Fiber, a 700 ton per day waste paper recycling facility and president of Medical Waste Associates, the developer of, at the time, the largest medical waste disposal facility, in the country.
